I became interested in raingardens when I received a letter from the city water department asking me to become interested in raingardens!  There’s growing concern here in Minnesota and nationwide about wasted rainwater, water runoff, the public expense of polluted water, drought, floods, and related issues.  Minnesota has always been progressive on public programs, and has been out front on promoting raingardens and native plants (sustainable with only natural water after the first year or two, deeper roots to hold water in the soil).  I’ve enjoyed learning about raingardens and related subjects, and am happy to have a vehicle for sharing information with others.
